👉 The Fake Wizard's Towers are two nearly identical decoy structures found deep in Gehennom. One holds the magic portal leading to the true Wizard's Tower, while the other holds a randomly generated amulet.
Location: Both towers are generated between levels 13 and 18 of Gehennom (specifically, between 2 and 5 levels above the bottom of Gehennom).
They cannot be accessed by normal stairs from the outside.
🚪 Entry
Both fake towers appear from the outside as small structures surrounded by a moat. There is no way to tell which of the two towers is which from the outside. You must find a way past the moat and through the solid rock walls to discover what is inside.
Once inside, one of the two towers contains a magic portal that transports you directly to the bottom level of the true Wizard's Tower. The other tower contains a randomly generated amulet.
ℹ️ Characteristics
Both towers share the exact same physical characteristics and inhabitants:
- Layout: A very small 3x3 interior room surrounded by an impassable moat and non-diggable solid rock walls.
- Monsters: Each tower is guaranteed to be guarded by a lich, a vampire lord, and a kraken lurking in the moat.
- Hazards: The small room contains multiple squeaky board traps.
- Decorations: The north wall of the interior room always features a painting of either a blue or red wizard.
