👉 The Plane of the Modron is a strange, geometric realm governed by absolute order, unique to GnollHack.

Location: Accessible via a magic portal located between levels 3 and 4 of Gehennom. The branch consists of 5 levels.

The Plane of the Modron introduces a highly structured, mechanical environment.

ℹ️ Characteristics

• Layout: The plane consists of 5 rigidly geometric levels. Progression requires solving lock puzzles using specialized magic keys and geometric keys dropped by high-ranking Modrons. The walls are often decorated with spherical or triangular modron plaques.
• Inhabitants: Populated by Modrons—mechanical, geometric beings of pure law and order. The hierarchy scales with each level, starting from monodrones and quintons on the first level up to the most powerful forms at the bottom.
• Notable Locations:
  • Pemptonus features a smithy and several treasure chests.
  • Tetartonus contains a modron shop and a Warp Engineer NPC.
  • Tritonus has a hidden Temple to Moloch with a cubic gate.
  • Deuteronus contains opposing shrines to Law and Chaos.

👁️ Modron Primus

The final level, Protonus, is the lair of the Modron Primus, the ultimate ruler of the Modrons.

• Defeating him yields a specialized geometric key that unlocks two nearby golden chests.
• These chests contain a guaranteed artifact, a dilithium crystal, the spellbook of call hierarch modron, and the legendary Book of Modron (known here as "The Prime Codex").
