Experience Level

Experience level tells how strong and experienced your character is. Each character starts at experience level 1.

Each experience level gives you:

• 1 skill slot
• Additional hit points based on your character class, race, and constitution.
• Additional mana based on your character class, race, intelligence, and wisdom.
• Additional abilities based on your character class and race.

The maximum experience level in GnollHack is 50.

Experience Points

You gain experience points from killing monsters. More difficult monsters give out more experience points than less difficult ones. When you reach a certain number of experience points, you level up to a new experience level.
