- You can identify any gem or stone by applying an uncursed or blessed touchstone (one of the gray stones) unto it.
- Beware of the cursed loadstone (one of the gray stones). It is cursed and you cannot drop it once you have picked it up. And it's very heavy.
- You can identify a loadstone by kicking it while on the floor. If it does not move, it is a loadstone.
- If you have unidentified gray stones in a container on the floor, you may pick it up and tip it so that its contents drop on the ground.
- This way you do not need to put its contents - and a possible loadstone - into your inventory.
- Beware of the cursed jinxstone. It will cause mishaps to happen and once you have picked it up, you cannot drop it.
- Jinxstones are best identified by letting your pet stand upon it. If the pet does not step upon the stone, it is cursed.
- A luckstone, one of the gray stones, increases your luck if kept in the open inventory.
- Luck will disappear over time, but a blessed luckstone will prevent this.
