- You can create multiple monsters of your choice with a cursed scroll of genocide.
- Wizard of Yendor may replace your amulet with a cheap plastic imitation. It is good practice to name the real amulet as soon as you get it.
- It is essential for survival that you get good protective equipment.
- You need at least magic resistance, reflection, paralysis resistance, sleep resistance, and death resistance to survive some nasty attacks.
- Magic resistance will protect you from polymorph traps and some spell caster spells.
- Reflection will protect you from rays.
- Paralysis resistance will protect you from thrown potion of paralysis and paralysing monsters, such as gelatinous cube.
- Sleep resistance will protect you from sleep gas traps and thrown potions of sleep.
- Death resistance will protect you from some instant death attacks, such as the touch of death spell of a greater mummy high priest.
