1. Items can be blessed, uncursed, or cursed. You cannot remove cursed items if you equip them.
2. You can remove a curse from an item if you bless them item using a potion of holy water or by paying to a priest to do so.
3. You can also do so by reading a blessed or uncursed scroll of remove curse.
4. It is good practice to identify items before using them. At least you should make sure that the item is not cursed, when you equip it.
5. An uncursed scroll of remove curse will remove curses from equipped items.
6. A blessed scroll will remove curses from all items in the open inventory.
7. Dropping items on the altar will reveal their blessed/uncursed/cursed status.
8. Dipping items into holy water will make uncursed items blessed and cursed items uncursed.
9. Dipping items into unholy water will make uncursed items cursed and blessed items uncursed.
