Artificer rooms are generated as a subtype of the generic NPC room. When an NPC room is generated, there is a chance it will be assigned the Artificer subtype, placing an Artificer NPC inside the room.

• Services: Artificers are highly knowledgeable about magical items and constructs. While their specific services can vary, they may provide ways to identify magical gear, recharge wands, or offer rare tools and mechanical items.
