Location: Located between levels 5 and 8 of /Dungeon/The Dungeons of Doom.
Delphi is a guaranteed, fixed-layout level.
Characteristics
- Layout: The level is mostly solid rock, dominated by a large, central open area containing the Oracle's temple.
- The Oracle: In the very center sits the Oracle, a peaceful NPC. She is surrounded by statues of centaurs (or living centaurs, depending on generation).
- Wooded Areas: The temple is often surrounded by trees and pools of water, making it visually distinct.
The Oracle's Services
You can pay the Oracle for consultations, which come in two forms:
- Minor Consultations: Costs 50 gold. The Oracle provides a piece of standard, generalized advice (often cryptic rumors).
- Major Consultations: Costs 1,000 gold. The Oracle provides true, verified information about the game's mechanics or deep secrets.
Paying the Oracle is completely optional but can be useful for identifying items or learning obscure mechanics if you are playing without external guides.
