đ Vlad's Tower is the dark, heavily guarded lair of Vlad the Impaler, housing the Candelabrum of Invocation.
Location: Branches upwards from Gehennom, between levels 9 and 13 of Gehennom. The tower is 3 levels deep.
The tower itself consists of three levels.
âšī¸ Characteristics
- Layout: A relatively small, multi-level tower completely surrounded by impenetrable solid rock. The walls are decorated with ancient paintings of vampires.
- Inhabitants: Packed with powerful vampires such as vampire lords, vampire kings, and vampire mages. In GnollHack, a dracolich also waits for unwary adventurers behind the front door on the bottom level.
- Loot: Dozens of coffins are scattered throughout the tower. While some contain sleeping vampires, others hold valuable loot such as amulets and magical armor.
đ§ Vlad the Impaler
At the top level of the tower sits Vlad the Impaler upon his throne. Upon defeat, Vlad drops the Candelabrum of Invocation, the second of the three items required to enter Moloch's Sanctum.
