Food That Causes Monster Aggravation Intrinsic
Eating certain monsters causes the player character to receive the Monster Aggravation intrinsic under two main categories: domestic animals and cannibalism.
These rules apply to eating the monster's corpse, eating a tin of that monster, or eating the monster's brain (while polymorphed into a Mind Flayer/tentacled monster).
However, if your character is a Caveman or is of the Orc race, they are permitted to commit cannibalism and eat domestic animals without penalty.
For all other character roles and races, eating the following monsters triggers the Monster Aggravation intrinsic:
1. Domestic Animals
Eating any of the domestic pets below:
- Little Dog
- Dog
- Large Dog
- Kitten
- Housecat
- Large Cat
2. Cannibalism
- Starting Species: Monsters belonging to the same race as your starting race (e.g. Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Gnoll).
- Polymorphed Species: Monsters belonging to the same race as your current polymorphed form.
- Lycanthropic Beast: If you are afflicted with lycanthropy, the corresponding were-beast or its animal counterpart (e.g. wolf, rat, jackal).
