Equipment Slots

There are 22 equipment slots in GnollHack. Every equipment slot has an icon, which is visible in the inventory on the right-hand side of every item row, when the item is equipped. You can also find the icons in the Equipment Screen.

Left Hand1, 2		Primary off-hand weapon, shield, any item4
Right Swap Weapon1, 3		Secondary main-hand weapon, any item4
Left Swap Weapon1, 3		Secondary off-hand weapon, shield, any item4
Quiver		Arrows, bolts, and sling stones
Amulet
Suit		Worn over a shirt. Its AC and MC don't stack with a robe's.
Cloak		Worn over a shirt, a suit, and a robe.
Robe		Worn over a shirt and a suit. Its AC and MC don't stack with a suit's.
Shirt
Helmet
Gloves		Worn over both rings.
Boots
Bracers
Right Ring
Left Ring
Blindfold
Miscellaneous (×5)		You can wear at most 5 miscellaneous items, even though there are 10 miscellaneous item slots5. Only one item can be equipped in each miscellaneous item slot.

• ¹ Two-handed weapons require both hand slots to use.
• ² Main weapon slots are usually used for melee weapons.
• ³ Swap weapon slots are usually used for ranged weapons, such as bows.
• ⁴ You can wield almost any item. For example, you can wield a potion to smash it onto a monster.
