Non-Magical Gloves

Magical Gloves

Gauntlets

All gauntlets function as "weapon-gloves" in bare-handed combat, allowing the wearer to deal damage with them and use the Bare-handed combat skill.

Materials

Non-magical gauntlets can generate in a variety of materials. Gauntlets (base material: leather) and Spiked gauntlets (base material: iron) can also generate made of adamantium, mithril, or silver. Gauntlets made of silver deal a 1d20 bonus damage against silver-hating monsters.

Armor Quality

All gloves can be exceptional, elite, or celestial/primordial/infernal.

  • Exceptional: -2 AC
  • Elite: -4 AC, +1 MC
  • Celestial/Primordial/Infernal: -6 AC, +2 MC, but can be used only by lawful/neutral/chaotic beings.

In bare-handed combat, the armor quality also multiplies the base damage of gauntlets:

  • Exceptional: Double base damage
  • Elite: Triple base damage
  • Celestial/Primordial/Infernal: Quadruple base damage, but can be used only by lawful/neutral/chaotic beings.

Mythic Affixes

Soft gloves (such as Leather gloves) and inherently magical gauntlets (such as Gauntlets of ogre power) cannot be mythic.

However, non-magical gauntlets (Gauntlets and Spiked gauntlets) can generate with mythic affixes.
